Anywaves strengthens its Executive Committee with the appointment of Marc Serres, former CEO of the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA), as Chief Business & Growth Officer. With more than twenty years of experience across the space industry and the public sector, Marc Serres joins Anywaves at a key moment in its development, a few months after the merger between Anywaves and EmTroniX.
In his new role, Marc will support the execution of the five-year growth strategy, strengthen the company’s institutional and international positioning and develop the strategic partnerships required for its change of scale, with the aim of making Anywaves the global reference in its field by 2031.
A Dual Expertise Serving a New Ambition
After eight years at the head of the Luxembourg Space Agency, of which he was the first CEO, Marc Serres takes on a new challenge by joining Anywaves.
Formerly Head of Space Affairs at Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy and the country’s representative within the European space ecosystem, Marc also held several engineering positions in the satellite telecommunications industry. This dual
background, at the crossroads of the space industry and public policy, strengthens Anywaves’ capabilities as the company broadens its positioning towards a powerhouse in Space RF & Payload Subsystem Technologies. As an European SME based in France and Luxembourg, Anywaves now brings together complementary expertise in antennas, radio frequency technologies, electronic systems and payload subsystems, with the ambition of developing integrated solutions for commercial, institutional and defense markets. “Anywaves has reached a major milestone with a European consolidation in cutting-edge fields, and today holds strong technological, industrial and international assets. I am joining the group to help develop institutional relations, carry Anywaves’ contribution to strategic programs, and build the partnerships and alliances that will enable it to deliver on its ambitions in Europe and internationally », he comments.
Structuring Access to Institutional & International Markets
At the core of his new role are the definition and deployment of the group’s growth strategy, with the ambition of making Anywaves, by 2031, the global reference in antennas and modular RF electronic systems. Marc Serres will notably be tasked with developing high-level relationships with national, European and international space agencies, as well as with public and industrial stakeholders in a space sector that is inherently dual-use. He will also structure alliances with suppliers, manufacturers and partners capable of accelerating Anywaves’ roadmaps, both technologically and commercially.
His arrival takes on particular significance as Anywaves intends to strengthen its presence in institutional and defense markets, in Europe and internationally, notably in the United States, where it already operates through its subsidiary Anywaves US. It also aims to support the market launch of new systems and subsystems combining antenna, RF and electronic technologies, developed to meet strong demand, particularly in the defense sector, with applications such as space-based radars dedicated to surveillance and Earth observation.
Born from the combination of two companies founded less than ten years ago in France and more than twenty-five years ago in Luxembourg respectively, Anywaves now brings together more than 120 employees, with industrial sites in France and Luxembourg. The appointment of Marc Serres, a recognized figure of the European space ecosystem, marks a new stage in the company’s development. It reflects its commitment to building lasting relationships with agencies, institutions and major industrial players, while accelerating its international expansion to establish itself as a partner of choice for the space and defense sectors.
