Compact S-Band TT&C Antenna

This Compact S-Band antenna is our latest antenna generation for telemetry, tracking & control. It is the optimized compact version of our previous S-Band TT&C Antenna. It differs from its predecessor with a dual-circular-polarization that can be used simultaneously on the dedicated SMA connectors. This S-Band antenna has successfully passed our qualification tests and is now ready to equip your satellites.

This new antenna has been optimized to better communicate anytime, anywhere! Anywaves Compact S-band TT&C antenna features excellent radiation characteristics over a wide frequency band. With a better gain and axial ratio at high elevation angles, you will collect more data, from your satellite or your payload during a pass over your ground station. This antenna brings to you more available and capacitive communication link.

This antenna can withstand harsh thermal environment thanks to a robust design based on our know-how and meca-thermal expertise.

ANYWAVES Test Cap S Band Antennas
Test Hat for S-Band TT&C Antennas

The Anywaves Test Hat (or Test Cap) for S-Band TT&C Antennas  is essential to carry out end-to-end testing (parallelism, assembly chain, thermal vacuum..). It features a simple and robust design consisting in a cylindrical aluminium cavity, covered with absorber material and terminated by a RF (Radio Frequency) probe.

It operates over the frequency band of the S-Band TTC antenna. This Test Hat enables reproductible performance measurements of antenna & transceiver on the platform.

It is delivered in a single part that can be directly screwed on top of the antenna, minimizing both the risk to damage the antenna and the manipulation steps.

NB : a Test Hat compatible version of the Anywaves S-Band TT&C antennas is required.

ANYWAVES Direct Radiating Antenna
Direct Radiating Array Antenna

Satellite applications with Ka-band allocated services are now a reality and bring with them a number of advantages such as high directivity with reduced size, high throughput, and high resolution. However, the significant signal attenuation at these frequencies dictates that the antenna instruments on board the satellite must be able to handle high levels of electrical power to establish a robust communication link. Faced with these challenges, Anywaves’ team of specialized engineers worked on an innovative antenna concept that enables it to withstand high power handling and a harsh space environment, while still presenting an excellent form factor and high quality standards.

Anywaves’ direct radiating array product line is fully scalable and thus tailorable to the needs of your satellite mission to meet  gain specifications. More in details, our solution features a fixed right- or left-handed circularly polarized beam with first side-lobe levels of about 15 dB all over fractional bandwidths in the order of 10%. A space qualified white paint is also applied atop the radome to protect the antenna structure from disruptive phenomena such as electrostatic discharge. With its electromagnetic performance and ultra-low profile, this product is an attractive solution for applications such as Ka band payload telemetry and inter-satellite links as it can provide your system with a reliable and elegant solution.

According to Anywaves’ product assurance policy, the antenna undergo a rigorous qualification campaign that includes mechanical vibration and vacuum thermal cycling, power-handling testing, etc. Acceptance tests are also performed on flight models and customized according to the customer’s specific requirements.

Please note that our Direct Radiating Array Antennas are not a COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) product. They are custom-made upond demand, hence why we do not have a generic datasheet to provide.
