This paper presents a new technology enabling the design of high performance miniature antennas by using additive manufacturing of ceramic materials. Based on a patented technology, the dielectric material is structured in 3D to obtain the desired effective permittivity. As an example, a patch antenna with a 3D printed substrate has been designed. Simulated as well as measured results are given and compared one to each other.
